Abhiyantriki 2016 K.J. Somaiya College of Engineering’s Annual National Level Technical Festival

Abhiyantriki is the annual national level technical festival of K.J. Somaiya College of Engineering. It is traditionally held in September end or early October. Abhiyantriki was born out of the need to express the overflowing talent and the need for creative innovation by students. Abhiyantriki organises over 35 events ranging from workshops to exhibitions and even social events. It hosts a variety of engineering disciplines, with an aim to provide a platform to attract and nurture talent in the fields of science and technology. It also hosts events like Startup Expo, Internship Expo, Tech Expo, Auto Expo and Guest Lecture Sessions.


Abhiyantriki undertakes various social initiatives under ‘Parvaah’ which strives to bring about a change in the lives of the less fortunate. Over the years, Abhiyantriki has reached new peaks and bounds making it a brand.

It attracts a footfall of 5000+ students from various colleges spread all across Maharashtra. Previous versions of Abhiyantriki have been host to many innovative technical events. Innovation and advancements of technical events has been taking up every year with the help of the technical councils of KJSCE. Over the past years, Abhiyantriki has partnered up with names like LetsIntern, Bisleri, MTV, VH1, Robogenesis, Zone School of Code, Mumbai Mirror, Lokmat and many more. Abhiyantriki ‘15 was action packed with Tech Expo, Internship Expo and a new event, Sparkle which was presented by KPIT. The Guest Lecture Session had Deepak Marda, founder of Cinepolis India. In 2015, Abhiyantriki witnessed a title sponsor, Union Bank of India and was powered by Mumbai Mirror.

Abhiyantriki is going to be twice as bigger and better in 2016. The festival is going to be organised over a span of two days. The featured events are:


Tech Expo:

Tech Expo is a great platform to showcase the latest, cutting edge technology. Projects and exhibits from various technical fields are put on display during the fest. It’s a stage to get in touch with the latest developments in technological world and gain the necessary exposure through interaction with participants. As an highlight event for this year, Isro will be exhibiting their projects and instruments at Abhiyantriki. With working models, static panels and instruments that were actually used on the Mangalyaan and Chandrayaan missions, this event is set to be the icing on the cake. In addition to all of this, scientists from ISRO will also be gracing this event. They will be interacting with all the guests at the exhibition.


Internship Expo:

This event was initiated in Abhiyantriki 15’ with an aim to provide desiring and deserving candidates with internships. This event provided opportunities for candidates in various fields ranging from marketing to engineering. This event helped candidates get internships and further help their career. In 2015 this event was tasted a lot of success. And riding on the success of last year,  more than 40 companies are visiting Abhiyantriki ‘16 for the internship Expo.

Abhiyantriki’s Internship Expo will offer internships of varied fields like marketing, business development, content writing, coding, app development etc.


Auto Expo:

Auto Expo has been a star attraction of Abhiyantriki since its starting years. It has collaborated with major companies like Jaguar, Audi, Fiat, Mercedes Benz. In 2013, this event presented high-end cars with participation from many colleges. This event helped students to gain perspective about different cars, their specifications and new technologies. In 2014, racing cars from IIT-B(IIT Bombay Racing), KJSCE(Orion Racing India,Red-Shift Racing), Bharati Vidyapeeth College of Engineering and G.V. Acharya Institute of Engineering and Information Technology were on display during the exhibition. This year to thrill all vintage car lovers, Abhiyantriki along with VCCCI present to you a Vintage Car Exhibition.



Ideas are the fuel that the world runs on. With the increasing demand for innovation and out of the box thinking, KJSCE aims to foster an environment for thinking and creating. With Ideate we aim to get students to get  pen to paper, put their thinking caps on and think. The topic of this year is “Solutions to  propose ways to reduce the traffic and pollution in Mumbai by improving the public transport”.


Guest Lecturer:

Abhiyantriki aims at providing necessary guidance and exposure to the students. Inviting a Guest Lecturer enables the students to get a much needed insight into the working of the industry. Over the years Abhiyantriki has had:

This year Abhiyantriki will be graced by:

In addition to the lecture sessions Abhiyantriki will also have a panel session. This panel session will consist of:

Kaustubh Shivdikar (TEDx Speaker & Innovator)

Vaibhav Chhabra (Founder, Maker’s Asylum Mumbai )

All the speakers on stage being TEDx speakers, this session will give all the attendees a deep insight into the world of engineers, innovators, makers and inventors.

Abhiyantriki will also host national level coding events like CodeSpree, CryptoPokemon, Crackathon etc.

Abhiyantriki 2016 is going to be the bigger and better than ever before. Twice the fun, twice the technology.
