Taarangana is the Annual Cultural Fest of Indira Gandhi Delhi Technical University for Women, which spans for two days. This year, Taarangana is to be held on 3rd and 4th February 2017.

With the central stage ground decorated impeccably and laden with attractive banners, stalls and fun zones, Taarangana never sets out to disappoint. After months of planning and hard work, including dealing with sponsors, managing the events and the framework of those events, the creativity leading to an immaculate fest is indeed something to be awed of.

Taarangana consists of a two-day itinerary, consisting of major formal events, giving students a platform to express their talent and compare to contrast. These events are Anhad, Antra and Knights of the Fall, the music competitions; Urban Thump and Synnove, the dance competitions; Aghaaz, the Street Play competition; Lilac Dreams, the Fashion Parade and Mr. & Ms Taarangana. Not only do these events attract some extremely talented individuals as participants but they also end up becoming the most audience-appreciated and loved events. Other major events include War of Words, Monochrome, Thread Art and Quillography. Apart from being the core focus of the sponsors, they are indeed the most indulged into events of the fest.

Apart from the chief events, the informal attractions include events such as Fizzy shots, fandom quizzes, paintball, karaoke, minute to win it and, of course, the infamous blind dating. These events are extremely fun and engaging and absolutely worth the attention they receive. They go on side by side with the major events and often acting as a fun-laden buffer between major events as well.

Taarangana is well recognized for hosting blockbusters such as The Sunburn Campus with DJ Kerano and DJ Darth Legion, The Local Train, Hardy Sandhu, RJ Rahul Makin and multiple other renowned artists as judges and chief guests. The star night has been known to make people swoon at the concerts of the amazing artists and bands. The Sunburn Campus, one of the most successful events of Taarangana’16 made people dance to the beats, sing along the basic hits and scream in joy.

With amazing organization and planning and impressive execution, Taarangana has become the spotlight of the University. With its veritable content and an assortment of crowd, along with the amazing showstoppers, Taarangana has become a fest worth the hype. Hoping that as always, this year’s Taarangana brings the immense amounts of joy and love to everyone.
